Emily Avey and Jayden Grunde Win Poster Awards at the 2026 MSSEM Meeting

Congratulations to Emily Avey and Jayden Grunde, who won 2nd and 3rd place, respectively, in the poster awards at the Mountain States Society of Electron Microscopists (MSSEM) Meeting, held at Colorado State University on October 15, 2026.

Emily and Jayden presented their work in autonomous characterization and processing. They represented the TIME Research Group at the Colorado School of Mines well, and I'm proud of the care they put into both the science and how they communicated it.

The meeting also offered an engaging lineup of speakers, and we all came away with new ideas. Thanks to my fellow members of the MICRO group at the National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR), John Mangum, Katherine Jungjohann, and Nikita Dutta, for joining us, and to the organizers for hosting a great meeting.
