One Year at NREL / CSM
⏰ It's hard to believe it's already been a year since I joined the incredible team at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL)! While the decision to leave Pacific Northwest National Laboratory was a significant one, the warm welcome and collaborative spirit I've experienced from my new colleagues here in Colorado have made the transition truly rewarding.
I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to work alongside so many brilliant and dedicated scientists, support staff, and students. The commitment to impactful science here is palpable, and it's a privilege to contribute to NREL's mission.
A special thank you to Katherine Jungjohann, Michelle Smeaton, John Mangum, Renae Gannon, and many other colleagues who have welcomed me. It has been fantastic to collaborate and dive into exciting new research areas.
I'm also incredibly enthusiastic about the work being done by our talented student interns, Grace Guinan and Addie Salvador. Their fresh perspectives and dedication are invaluable as we push the boundaries of materials science.
Together, we are tackling some of the most pressing challenges of our time, focusing on the development of advanced energy technologies, next-generation microelectronics, and pioneering autonomous experimentation. Our goal is to accelerate manufacturing innovation and bolster our nation's energy resilience. The past year has been filled with exciting new projects and collaborations, and I'm even more energized for what the future holds!
